Bringing Facebook video to life

People love watching video, and people love watching video's that their friends love. However Facebook doesn't give video as a medium, the love that it deserves. Users own videos are hidden away, deep within the platform. And videos users have shared, quickly get lost down the newsfeed, and hidden among collapsed timeline sections.

Whats happening?

Sometimes some news is breaking in a particular part of the world. 'Nearby' allows for users to discover videos that are being created and shared in any part of the world - right now, or at any point in the past.

Beyond the share

People create video for many reasons other than broadcasting to all of their network. We have captured video for years, long before the smartphone and social networks came along. It may be to capture their child's first steps, document a private moment in time, record a private message to someone special, or any number of other reasons.

Handling and helping the creation of these is integral to Jezebelle.

Capturing a moment in time

These special 'moments' can be stored as such. Moments are so much more than just a video, when we used to share VHS tapes, we would talk over them, explaining where the video was taken, what time of day it was, how the weather was that precluded that event.

All of these supplementary parts to the story are pulled in automatically, and displayed as appropriate.

Maps, location, weather, time, just as you would explain and want to remember as time passes by.

If you want to just store them privately for yourself, share them with 1 person, or the whole world, that is upto you - and simple to do whichever you choose.

I want to share that moment with my Gran

Sometimes people we want to share these moments with don't have an account on the network we took them.

That should not make them second class citizens.

Jezebelle allows you to share these moments with anyone with an email address, whether they have an account or not. Moments arrive as a beautiful email looking like the view above, HTML5 video plays inline where it can and directs a user to the web version where it can't.

You can do more than just watch the moment though, replying to that email, adds the recipients thoughts straight into the comments as it would with those who have an account.

Make my videos beautiful

Real-time filters allow you to style your video any way you want, and let you see what it looks like as you're shooting it. No surprises later, no need to keep re-watching the video to see if you like the filter, no waiting for it to rerender.

You shoot in the style you like, and you're good to go, whatever you choose to do with it.

Make my videos mine

There is no lockin with Jezebelle at all. Your videos are yours.

Connect your Dropbox account, and every video you record will be right there on your computer when you get home. Full-size, ready to play, yours to do what you wish with.

Where can I get it?

Jezebelle has been getting used by a small group of hand chosen users, who have provided wonderful insights of video meaning so much more to them than fleeting videos. Insights like these become moments.
